Preparing for your session

From the moment you decide you want to work with Jaimi Lynn Photography then first things first........we set up a time to discuss your session! Whether it is over the phone or via email, I LOVE to get all of our ideas out in the open right away. It is all about you, and we will discuss all aspects of your photo shoot, from what to wear and what time of the day to shoot, to what style you are interested in and how I can create the look we are envisioning. Once the brainstorming is complete I'll send you the packages and we will set a date. After your session is complete, I'll send you 2-3 pictures as a sneak peak, and I guarantee a turnaround time of 10 business days. Overall the process takes about 2 weeks and I'm always willing to adjust to certain schedules and place rush orders based on the clients needs.

Senior sessions can be done anytime throughout the year. If you plan to use these images for your announcements it is recommended we book at least 3 months before graduation. Sessions are done on location (outside) and the client will most likely change outfits multiple times. The location is selected by the Photographer and of course your input is encouraged! I want to know all about your child because we want the style of the shoot to reflect their personality. For more details please contact me to receive package pricing.

Maternity sessions are typically done when Mom is about 7-8 months along. Sessions are done on location and last about an hour. It is recommended that you get pampered for this session and spend the day getting your hair, makeup and nails done. Whether you are in the salon, or do-it-yourself at home, it is important to take some time for yourself. Your confidence will radiate in your portraits!! Newborn sessions are best done within the first 7-12 days of the baby being born. If the baby is healthy and mom is doing well, I prefer to photograph in the first week. During this first week, the baby is still very sleepy and we can mold them and put them in to all of the adorable poses that families have grown to love. Sessions take 2-3 hours and are done at a home studio. For more information and tips on how to prepare for a newborn session, please visit the JLP Blog.
